1. General Guidelines

1.1 Use of Modifications

Cheat clients, macro keys, or modifications giving gameplay advantages (e.g., x-ray, free cam, cave finder, hacked clients, macros, PvP mods with unfair advantages, minimaps showing players) are prohibited. Allowed: OptiFine, Easy Place, Distant Horizons/BobbyMod, performance mods, armor/effect HUD mods, minimaps (dynmap-equivalent only), aesthetic mods, Litematica (without printer function). Schematica is not allowed. Contact staff if unsure about a mod.

1.2 Alternate Accounts

Only one account per player is allowed. Alternate accounts ("alts") are prohibited. All accounts on the same IP are punished if one breaks rules. Contact staff to switch main accounts or for exceptions (e.g., multiple players on the same network).

1.3 Exploits and Bugs

Exploiting server bugs, dupes, glitches, block exploits, or unfair mechanics is prohibited. Report issues to staff immediately. Benefiting from another's exploit carries the same punishment.

1.4 Knowingly Assisting in Rule-Breaking

Intentionally assisting, participating in, or benefiting from others breaking any server rules is treated as if you committed the act.

1.5 Server Stability

No lag farms (e.g., large spawners, mob platforms, stacked hoppers/furnaces), DDoS, bots, or service disruption. Ask staff if unsure.

2. User Behavior

2.1 Respect and Safety

No harassment, bullying, hate speech, racism, sexism, derogatory language, grooming, encouragement of self-harm, inciting violence, or offensive builds, signs, or skins. Toxicity is evaluated case-by-case by staff.

2.2 Content and Chat

Global chat must be in English. Use town/nation/local channels or private messages for other languages. Non-English is allowed in global chat if most online players speak that language. No chat spam, explicit talk of sex or drugs, or non-server-related, unsafe, or offensive links.

2.3 Privacy and Information

No sharing personal information (e.g., addresses, social media, IPs, family, real-life photos, phone numbers, school/work locations) without explicit permission, even if disclosed by others. No threatening or manipulative use of info.

2.4 Advertising and Real-World Trade

No advertising other servers or recruiting for them. No buying/selling in-game goods for real-world money or offering real money for in-game/store prizes. Server-related advertising is allowed.

2.5 Impersonation

Impersonating players, staff, towns, or nations via usernames, nicknames, or town/nation names is prohibited.

3. Towny

3.1 Town Claims

No "donut hole," hollow claims, "arms," "spaghetti" claims, or claim-blocking outposts. No claim block towns; these will be removed by staff. Overclaiming must not split another town into segments.

3.2 Proximity Grief

No griefing in claimed towns or their outer limits (e.g., cobble monsters, lava/water curtains, TNT craters, mass spawning entities like chickens/boats). Ruined towns may be broken into but not destroyed. Damage will be rolled back.

3.3 Extreme Grief

No lava/water griefing or casts, including in your own claims. No griefing pathways (roads, rails, canals) connecting towns. Players may request major terrain grief rollbacks in wilderness.

3.4 Map Art

Map art is allowed in Antarctica or claimed towns, must not be racist, offensive, NSFW, or exploitative. Carpet duping is allowed via custom recipe. Griefing or stealing map art is prohibited. Create map art at your own risk (PvP is enabled in wilderness).

3.5 Stealing and Raiding

Raiding/stealing between towns/nations is allowed within Towny/war mechanics. Stealing specific valuable blocks is permitted, but not easily acquired blocks. Stealing from your own town’s members is subject to the mayor’s rules; mayors may not steal from residents.

4. Naming

4.1 Nation Names

Nation names must match real-world (historic or present) regions, provinces, or large geographical areas, correspond to the capital’s map location, and not be fictional, meme-based, duplicate, or offensive. Mythological and fictional names inspired by real-life locations are allowed (e.g., Atlantis, New California Republic). If unsure, don’t create it.

4.2 Town Names

Town names must fit the geopolitics theme, be non-offensive, and not confusingly similar to others. Meme names are prohibited.

4.3 Player Content

Usernames, skins, titles, and nicknames must not be racist, sexual, offensive, or impersonate others.

5. Combat and PvP

5.1 Engagement Rules

PvP is allowed unless the target is AFK. No repeated killing/camping after defeating someone.

5.2 Combat Exploits

No claim-hopping (running in/out of claims mid-fight), spawn camping, /sethome abuse, or TP kills (/t spawn, /n spawn, /outpost). Towns in sieges must allow PvP in claims. Siege attackers must repair siege damage after battles.

6. Staff Authority and Enforcement

6.1 Staff Authority

Staff decisions are final in-game. Appeals must go through proper channels (e.g., Discord or support). Staff may override rules for safety, fairness, or balance. Harassing, bribing, or impersonating staff is prohibited.

Punishments and Appeals

Escalation and Appeals

Punishments escalate: Warning → Mute → Temporary Ban → Permanent Ban. 3 repeated minor offenses escalate to a 7d ban; 5 repeated minor offenses escalate to a permanent ban. Instant permanent bans for hacks, dupes, doxxing, IRL threats, or server disruption. Appeals must be respectful, evidence-based, and submitted via Discord or support.

⚖️ Final Note: These rules protect the server, staff, and community. Staff reserve the right to act beyond written rules to ensure fairness, safety, and balance. For questions or appeals, join our Discord or contact support.
